Aspect ratios & sizes

Your ads on social media will be shown on multiple different channels and placements. It is therefore important that you create templates that are suitable for a wide range of use. Adway supports Image templates for both Story (9:16) and Square (1:1) formats. This will ensure the maximum spread of your ads.

Story format - 9:16

Image templates for Story formats should always be 1080x1920 pixels large.

Ensure that you reserve roughly 14% (250 pixels) at the top and bottom of the format free from crucial visuals. When ads are displayed on Facebook/Instagram Stories, Snapchat, or TikTok, the platforms will automatically overlay elements like call-to-action buttons onto your image, which is beyond Adway's control.

When using this format for advertising on TikTok, it's necessary to leave approximately 20% (215 pixels) of the right-hand side free from important visuals.

Square format - 1:1

Image templates for Square formats should always be 1200x1200 pixels large.

Contrary to the Story format, there's no need to account for any overlays that might be imposed by social media channels. Your creative content will be displayed without obstruction, exactly as you envision it.
